Ya, but at least we weren't pathetic needing an overtime to win our bowl game this season. Oh wait....

Yea, i remember hearing the FOX reporters repeatedly saying that BOISE had no 4 of 5 star recruits.

You can have the best recruiting class in the Nation and it still wouldnt help you win championships.

Its ALL about a players development and if you can see his potential to grow as an all around person.

Boise has really developed and plays an exciting brand of football. Yes, coaching does matter, but its not everything. I think we tried the statute of liberty play this year and it didn't work. Boise has never used it, but did so at the exact perfect time.

Boise did use it before (said by Fox reporters) and I believe the Z man himself said they used it against Idaho.

Boise doesn't get the best players, but they make the most of what they do get and play to their strengths. Its all due to good coaching, figuring out who can play where, etc..

That may have been the best coached and best executing team I've seen since free agency was brought to pro football.

Kudos to the Smurfs.

Coaching and Recruiting both matter. Obviously.

It's just interesting to see how much better a coach must be to go 13-0 and win a BCS game with less 'talent' than SMU.

If I had my ruthers...I'd ruther have better talent AND coach them to be even better players.

I'd ruther play craps with "7's" as a winning throw (7=euphamism for better talent) than "6's" (being lesser talent)

NOTE: for those of you statistically challenged: There are 6 ways out of 36 possibilities to get a "7" with a single throw:
6-1
5-2
4-3
3-4
4-3
2-5
1-6

But only 5 ways to win if you have to throw a 6:
5-1
4-2
3-3
2-4
1-5

SMU has been playing with "4" as the winning number...
1-3
2-2
3-1

They go out and get JUCO's. Something we need to do a better job of doing.

If they ever change blackjack to 23, I'll own Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Monte Carlo.

JUCO's, JACO's////
The guy's a great coach.

We could've used a Statue of Liberty on 4th and goal against Houston.
