Can we please acquire 4 floor mops to wipe up the sweat after free throw attempts instead of using towels?????

Can we please get someone other than 8 year old kids to wipe the floor????

If we have to use 8 year old towel wielding kids to wipe the floor, could we please have someone monitor them so that they aren't running all over the floor while the game is in process???? The kids running water out to the refs after play has commenced should be a no-no as well........

How long have we known that we were going to install a new scoreboard???? Don't you think we should have had someone working on the video graphics to personalize them rather than just using the obvious generic ones that came with the software????????

If Orsini really wants top 25 programs, he needs to start demanding that we act like we belong in the big leagues.................

Orsini knows all that stuff (and so does Matt Doherty)... the floor wipers need to dress "uniformly" in red and blue and tuck their shirttails in... and he knows how the scoreboard will operate... all of the "bells and whistles" have yet to be installed/revealed. They just plugged it in a week ago. I thought it's operation was quite an improvement over the Prairie View game.

I think I posted this before regarding the floor wipers: By comparison, Duke's floor wipers ALL wear suits and ties. EVERYONE associated with the basketball team wears dark suits and ties. It's all about presentation. Just like the guys at Notre Dame (their loss to the mighty Tigers notwithstanding) who raise and lower the net for FGs and PATs, wearing white gloves, shirts and ties.

How many top 25 programs have zero cheerleaders at home games?

Give the scoreboard operators a few games under their belts before you rip them. It's a tremendous improvement to the game atmosphere and one that was 10 years overdue.

That's the big stuff. SMU has also made several strides this season regarding the "small stuff."

Notice that the stat crew now wears matching C-USA polo shirts? They no longer look like people pulled out of the crowd. Big-time programs have their stat crews look uniform and professional, and ours finally does.

And the ushers now wear nice, blue blazers instead of those gawd-awful yellow windbreakers. I can't recall if this change was made last year or this year, but it's much more inviting to be greeted by someone in a blue sportcoat and slacks.

Yellow windbreakers are for serious crowd control, like in a potentially rioutous situation.

My one peeve, though, is the flat, pale blue coat of paint on the balcony. I don't get it, why is the balcony painted this color? It doesn't match the floor, it's not SMU blue. It's just a flat latex paint. Pale blue, not even royal or navy blue.

I know we're probably getting a little $$ from the signage on the balcony, but to me it looked great in the '80s when the balcony had SOUTHERN METHODIST painted on it. It ran the length of the balcony and showed up in every photo, every TV shot. Great exposure for the school.

And because it was a glossy, dark blue background with red letters that matched the seats, not to mention the uniforms, it looked great.

At least 10 years. Getting this thing after the years with that Etch-a-Sketch that hung from the Moody rafters for so long and then getting bent at the operators is like handing the Wright Brothers the keys to the space shuttle and getting pissed because they want to read the manual first.

I think it's just a matter of most of us being successful and expecting the best in presentation, attention to detail, etc.

If we want to be in the elite, things need to reflect that in every way...that is the way successful businesses are run regardless of their revenue. "fake it till you make it"

This is not a Junior College - tuition is very expensive as we know.

Now if you have hot babes in thongs wiping the floor with towels that's an entirely different story.

We had two slips last night. One was Killen. Have to do a better job of keeping the floor dry.
