Not only was it only 1:14 into the second half but we were also leading by 20+ points at the time. Good to see he wasn't putting up with the lazy passes that the boys were giving away to UTPA throughout the 1st half.Best part of the game, other than the win, was seeing Doh, at about the 18 minute mark, getting visibly upset with the five players who started the second half, calling a timeout and subbing for all five in mass, making them stand during the timeout while he talked to their subs who were sitting and then having one of the assistants group them together for a lecture. While they were not out very long, they seemed to have new energy when they returned.

Hey Angry
Doh could have easily won this game about 90-65 or so but he wanted to make a point with the starters. First time I have seen an SMU coach sub all five players in the middle of a game. I have advocated that for a long time to make the 2nd team better, to rest the starters, and to bring a little more intensity. When the first team came back in they did play with more intensity and they were getting the ball to the big men more often.
He played the 2nd team more minutes in the 2nd half and also used the
4 walkons in the last 2 minutes. They gave up about 10 points to UTPA and couldn't score themselves and that is the only reason UTPA made it appear to be a closer game. This was a blowout.
