Nice little story in tomorrows DMN. Talks about two SMU players as well as a couple of others.

Small (?) Football Players
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

They also have their season preview up there - and I noticed it's on PonyFans.com's home page, too.

Re: Small (?) Football Players
Kennedy is the best "small" (if you can call a 300-plus pounder "small) player to come along in years. I still think we should have found a way to get him to SMU, where he wanted to go in the first place, according to a family member.

I love Coach Bennett's quote about Brian Bischoff:
"He's definitely one that could have played for me anywhere I've been," SMU coach Phil Bennett said. "Kansas State, Oklahoma, A&M ... anywhere."
Now that's a ringing endorsement.
