I know SMU did a couple of post-game concerts after basketball games during the Sasser years. I remember Trish Murphy did one of them. There were a couple of others. I swear there was a Pat Green post-game concert at Ford in 2001 or 2002, but I could be wrong.
Is it worth trying? Sure, but I don't have high hopes for it.

If the concert can not work out, just get some big shot to sing the National Anthem. If there is someone of note performing in town on a given weekend, persuade them to come by and sing the Anthem. I know we want to get people to stay the whole game, but Orsini and whomever did a pretty good job of pleading with the students to stay after halftime at homcoming and it worked. Lets get people in the stadium first and then work on keeping them. I would rather have them leaving at halftime then showing up the last 2:00 minutes of the game to hear a concert. Dallas should have enough local talent, or visiting talent to get someone of name to sing the Anthem for little or no $$. Limo them in on to the field, sing and limo out. Oh yeah, PROMOTE IT.

Uh, you mean all three guys? Jack Ingram, Jack O'Neill and Cary Pierce?
Yeah...I actually just meant Cary Pierce instead of Jacko Pierce. I just didn't type out all of my thought process. I saw just him at McFarlin auditorium not too long ago for a solo gig.

Jackopierce was only Jack O'Neil and Carey Pierce.

he also has a song called "Dallas" that starts out with him saying "I hate this town..." or try listening to his song Barbie Doll, sounds like he wrote it while at SMU

Jack Ingram is a turd. If you've never heard him hurl f-bombs from stage at an outdoor family crowd, you wouldn't understand.

He was one of my counselors at Camp Longhorn in the early 90's.
