A Lot of Smack Comming

Postby TechFanInSoCal » Thu Aug 21, 2003 9:09 pm

......from you guys over here. What gives?? I dont really see how fans of a school with such bottom of the barrel football and basketball teams can talk this much smack to Tech without being on some kind of drug. Maybe it is the fact that you are tired of losing to Tech. Maybe it is "[deleted] envy." Maybe the fact that Tech could care less about SMU has your Dolche and Gabana panties in a twist. Maybe you guys are just to dumb to realize what you are saying. Whatever it is, I can't figure it out.

What I do know is that wether or not Tech is better than the rest of the BigXII, or is an underachiever makes no difference when it comes to SMU vs Tech smack. But I guess when no other smack exists that is what you have to turn to.

It's just funny that we can get you guys riled up so easily. We know our program has been down for a while. But what gives? Why are you taking such offense? The TTU Sand Aggies have a solid program. You guys are acting like a bunch of insecure girls going through sorority rush. You have nothing to worry about right.

A lot of the humor on this board is sarcastic. I guess they don't teach that to the folks in Lubbock.

Dolce & Gabanna panties? Wow, because I fit that SMU sterotype so well. Why can't you dumb**** welfare dependent rednecks take a little jabbing without getting your hanes stuck up your [deleted]?

Well I guess stereotypes ARE fun!

When was the last time Tech football won a national championship? Or even a Conference Championship? 1951?
Happy with mediocrity?

Just registered, but I have been reading through all of the material (especialy the Tech stuff). I forgot who posted it but the stuff about National Championships or Conference Championships is absolutely hillarious. I really don't know what that has to do with the game AUG. 30th.
This is what I do Know. Texas Tech offense is going to be even better this year. Kingsburry is a big loss but our new quarterback has a lot more to add to the table. He has a stronger arm than Kliff did and has Carlos Francis, a receiver who is better suited for the long pass, to throw to. Francis will have a big year, and you can quote me on that. But our biggest offensive threat is Wes Welker. IMO he will have even better stats this year B/C it is his senior year. If Wes isn't enough, we have Taurean Henderson that some give a good chance to rush for 1000 yards and have a 1000 yards in receptions. Then there is Nehemiah Glover who also is capabe of 800-1000 yards. He only got better as the year progressed so he should be in his prime this year. The reliable Mickey Peters is also good for 600-700 yards. There are a lot of playmakers that won't make it to the field this year due to talent in front of them. Oh, and we have what many are calling the first or second best offensive line in the BIG Twelve.

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE READ THROUGH THIS ASSESSMENT IT SHOULD BE CLEAR TO YOU. YOUR PUNK [deleted] SMU PONIES, WITH A DEFENSE THAT CAN'T EVEN KEEP UP WITH THE WAC, AND AN OFFENSE THAT WON'T EVEN PRODUCE A 1/3 OF THE TECH OFFENSIVE NUMBERS HAS NO CHANCE OF EVEN MAKING A GAME OUT OF TECH-SMU GAME. FURTHERMORE, YOU CAN JOKE ABOUT LUBBOCK BEING IN HICKVILLE ALL YOU WANT BUT YOUR BELOVED SMU PONIES WILL SPEAKING WEST TEXAS SLANG AFTER THEY GET A DOSE OF "WILD, WILD WELKER". SO WHEN YOU CAN BEAT THE 3RD RANK TEAM IN THE COUNTRY, WHICH TECH DID LAST YEAR, AND PLAY THE 4TH HARDEST SCHEDULE IN THE COUNTRY AND STILL BE 9-5 WE CAN TALK ABOUT A UPSET.

SEE YOU AT THE GAME!!!

The caps lock button is that little one on the lower left part of your keyboard - state school tough guy. Are we compensating for some personal deficiencies through our little football team?

I predict that Wes Welker and -- what was his name? -- Taurus Henderson? -- go 1 & 2 in the NFL Draft next year.

Uh, you guys weren't very dominant in Dallas last year. And your ridiculous home field advantage will always make Tech look better in Lubbock than it really is. Tech has a nice little program going, now that they have weeded out the competition from SMU and TCU in recruiting the Metroplex. You guys benefitted more from the coattails of UT and A&M than anyone else. Congratulations.

September 7, 2002 Dallas, Texas
Texas Tech 24
SMU 14

What a crushing defeat!!!!

Kliff Kingsbury threw for 369 yards, but only 24 points?

It was a 3-pt game with 7:40 left.

Tech totaled 488 yards of offense, 374 through the air while SMU totaled 371 yards, 236 of which came on the ground.

Where do you get off thinking you're then next National Champions.

Tech plays crapp on turf. There are no exceptions to this rule. The sad part is that your "even the Mountain West is a step up" team wasnt even really close to winning that game in which Tech 2nd string QB played a few series.

By the way, how many extra points did you guys miss last year??? Hahahahahahahaha. Simply pathetic!

You guys do realize that you're bragging about a defeat, don't you?
The attitude dictates that you don't care whether she comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'. Now when you got that, then you have the attitude.

No Damone, not bragging about defeat, just [deleted] back. The fact was it was a very competitive game last year. And to the Tech fan, Ford had natural grass last year. Are you saying Tech doesnt play well on natural grass surfaces? Nearly every stadium in the country has grass or field turf. Does Tech still have the concrete astroturf?
