Nice logic Raider Red. That is if you ignore the entirely of the conversation up to that point. Nobody is disputing that SMU has been bad the past 10 years. Did it take your degree from Tech to figure that one out? The comment in dispute was who has the better football "history", SMU or Tech. The WAC has sucked for the 6 years we have played in it, just like the Borderland or whatever you call it sucked for the 30 or 40 years Tech played in it.

the Border Conference is analygous to a half-WAC conference back then.

in 1935, TCU was ranked #2 in the nation in that schedule.
in 1935, bowl games didn't count for anything, they were just a 'scrimmage' essentially, showcased after a week of partying for the players.

Incidentally, Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones NEVER won a National Championship...it is true that they were ranked 2, or 3, and the 1 (and 2) teams both lost their bowls, while Arkansas won theirs (and therefore somehow JJ/JJ won a National Championship)...

HOWEVER, the bowls didn't count for anything all the way up to when they played in their bowl...so this is not true EITHER.

TECH got 8 free wins over a DPenalty SMU team which not that they don't count, but c'mon, that's not really fair now is it to beat up on a team with mostly Freshmen?

Also, TECH, please don't forget that your co-championship was shared by FIVE other teams when aTm was on probation for goint 10-0-1 (the year SMU tied them to break their 27 game winning streak).

AND don't forget how embarrassing it was to watch you lose 45-0 in the COTTON bowl that year.

Yes, I will give you that last year was very competive. I will even concede that our defense worries me more this year than last year. Is your defense much better? I don't think so. Try to get into a offensive firework show with us and you will come out on the losing end. Just ask Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma St., Missouri, and NC State whose offense they fear more, SMU or Tech. Hell, you could even ask them if they would fear the old "Pony Express" SMU offense over techs current offense and they would still say the Tech offense fears them more. I sure hope I can get a response from the SMU fans after the Tech win. Doubt you will be posting after the game!!!!

Not all Mustangs come from wealth. I graduated from their and my mom was a nurse, and my father is diabled. But one thing I know about Sand Aggs is that they couldn't get into SMU money or no money. They just don't have what it takes to party hard and thrive in a challenging academic setting.

I would suggest that you try to attend SMU which will accept a drivers license and a birth certificate to attend. Furthermore, You would probably be better served to go to a Junior College and try to improve your grades to attend Tech.

Dear Ignorant SMU fan,
I know what SMU kids are like, I grew up in HP. If you consider using a fake ID from Minnesota and going to Jacks Pub or Have A Nice Day Cafe where you drink a Vodka Tonic, or a glass of Merlot partying hard, you need to get out more someplace other than Dallas. Also, obviously money was not why I did not go to SMU, neither was my 1380 SAT score, the reason I did not go to SMU was I knew what people there were like. They compare the wax job they got on their Mercedes. They sneak Vodka and Cranberry juice in to Football games. They feel underdressed in Kahkis and a Polo. They are the true Sliver Spoon children of America. And the worst part about SMU kids is that many of them are not from Texas!
