ever done???? The numerous folks I associate with from Tech, coupled with a few random "brushes" with Tech fans and alums, leads me to a few solid conclusions.... Inferiority complex (different from tcu's, but the same, sort of..)...an extension of high school from an academic / social perspective (I think a Reeces Monkey could be Student Body President there..), besides Donnie Anderson (who??), no real sports celebs..oohhhh, I'm sorry, how can we forget Cheryl Swopes..in fact, if it WAS NOT for chick hoops, only a few lower end Lake Highlands grads and a couple of West Texas dirt farmers would have ever heard of tech...don't get me wrong, mighty Tech is liable to beat us 45-10 in a few days, but tech is still tech..got to go, making plans to attend the Doak Walker Awards and I need to polish my Cotton Bowl ring...long live Bobby Leach.

Let's review the tape.....up until the Death Penalty, the SMU / tech series was fairly close, 16-18, tech. From 1932 until the SWC split, for the most part, tech was an "SWC after thought". Why? How many SWC titles? One, maybe two (shared at that..),,Bowl games? They were BIG at the Sun Bowl and Raisin Bowl...It's easy, in fact, any ding dong could do it, to punch someone while they are down (SMU), but tech knows, SMU is a much better school, SMU has deeper traditions and a richer history, both academically and athletically, tech has....basically, Cheryl Swoopes, oh, and Mark Bounds...as HixsontoLeVias said..long live Bobby Leach, now, let's go start the grill, I heard West Texas wine is good for that....Coach McWilliams, you have a phone call...
