Don't forget Matt Doherty will have his show tonight at the 10 Sports Grill at 7:00pm. With the bad weather, it could be a smaller crowd, but we want this to be a success. It is on 770am and you can call in at 866 239 5138.......or go to SMUMUSTANGS.com, and you can submit questions and comments via email.

I made it down to Ten Sports Grill for the first time tonight. Pretty good crowd. Look forward to going to more of them.

Ira Terrell was also in the audience. He'll be coaching the alumni team during the halftime Alumni game this Saturday night. Coach Doherty gave it a good plug during the radio show.

And just to [deleted] Regis off, Chad Elsey will be playing in the alumni game. I told Carlton Cooper that I'd be booing -- you don't up and transfer to Baylor and expect us to welcome you back with open arms. Go play in the Baylor alumni games.

At one point I heard Doherty tell the producer to turn up his microphone. He followed that by saying it was supposed to be the Matt Doherty Show not the Rich Phillips Show. They all laughed.

Perplexing, indeed. Perhaps SMU fans should write/email/call the AD's office and question this decision.
