Any truth to the rumor (on the other board) that Tate Wallis recently had some kind of surgery? What kind? How long will he be out?
And in his absence, who's backing up Bartel?
(Or is this all just rumor and not accurate at all?)

Re: Quarterbacks
Backup QB Wallis has appendectomy
UNIVERSITY PARK - Backup quarterback Tate Wallis was well after an emergency appendectomy, and should back on the practice field as soon as Tuesday.
He should be available for Saturday's game at Texas Tech. Freshman defensive tackle Brandon Bonds might be ready to play after surgery last week to remove torn cartilage behind his knee.

Re: Quarterbacks
If he's as good as advertised, getting Bonds back will be a huge boost to the defense.
