The Rice board has a post that quotes a radio report that Mustain has gotten his release and will transfer to TULSA. Now watch [deleted] go to UH. Should be pretty easy to check this rumor out.
mrydel..I agree I think Houston because becomes the top school on [deleted]'s board. Would love to see him visit us but I don't think he is interested especially with the fact our QB will only be a Sophmore.
Arkansas Democrat or whatever their paper is says that he has asked for his release and will transfer to Tulsa. That's probably to the source of the rumor/story.
that Arkansas Democrat report is all over the National and regional media now and saying that he will likely go to Tulsa. One thing if he does go to Tulsa at least they don't have Kraigthorpe who is reputed to be one of the best QB Coaches in the Country. Whose the NFL QB who lathers up when talking about Kraigthorpe? Tulsa QBs have always performed well under him too. The kid that led them to the CUSA title was a talented but unknown 6 man football star QB I believe in high school.
Yes, I know that he has been released from his scholarship and I think his TE (Cleveland) will also ask and receive his release. However, despite what the Arkansas Gazette is saying, Mustain will be most likely heading to a bigger name program. His WR (Williams) transfered to USC. I think with teams such as Miami in desperate need of QBs Mustain's value just jumped through the roof. But, if he chooses Tulsa and follows his HS coach then it will be a huge mistake for him. Miami vs. Tulsa..hmmmm now which would you choose?
Although I did not think he would go to Tulsa, and I am still hesitant even with the updates, Tulsa would certainly be a good match. Teaming up with his HS coach. I would just think he would realize he has already been deceived once, even if unintentionally by his old coach so why try it again. Momma on the other hand just wants him to play and get to the pros. She would be the first to push Tulsa I would imagine because I am sure she manipulated Malzahn for all the HS years. And why not Tulsa. You do not have to be BCS to be a great NFL QB. There are several good ones right now that came from schools other than BCS. And Mustain reminds me of Snead in that he wants to play much more than he wants to compete.
