I hear he is hoping Graham will offer him the defensive coordinator job at Tulsa.

What is it about Patterson that keeps him at TCU? He's done fairly well. Is TCU just offering him that much money?
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Honestly, Patterson couldn't care less about the money, concerning himself. He has, though, ask for raises for his assistants, and was recently denied, or rather, "put on hold." Some fans will ague that Patterson "played" being interested in Minnesota so that our Athletic Director, Danny Morrison, would get the ball rolling with the raises.
Keep in mind, however, that Patterson was offered the job at both Kansas State and Iowa State, but respectfully declined both.
Also, whatever Patterson wants here, he generally gets. He asked for more practice fields..., we complied. He asked for an artificial field..., we gave him one. He asked for an indoor facility; we gave him one. Now, he has indirectly asked for stadium upgrades..., we're in the process of approving a proposal that will make Amon Carter the "Camden yardsof College Football."
Bottom line: we're good to him, and he's good to us.

Why in the hell would he go to K-State or Iowa State. Minn. is the only step up. He will be at TCU for awhile as he is making good money and has a point to prove.

Don't go second rate Big 12 unless they pay you so much your head spins

How the hell is Minn the only step up? KState has been better at football in teh past 15 years than Minn...
Point is for Patterson, he has a good thing at TCU...unless he gets a Top3 job at a BCS conference, why leave?
Minn is a middle-tier job (Mich, OSU, PSU, Wisc, Iowa are all better jobs than Minn)
KState could be a Big12 N job, but it's taken
ISU - well, they're never going to compete for Big12 championships...
etc.
TCU is a good job now, and until he gets a truly better one, then why leave?

Minnesota doesn't even have their own stadium yet. I think Kansas St. right now would be better.
