I'm sorry but as SMU alums, when I look at the Miami U sneaker party and other antics, I think, "we got the death penalty and they haven't?" You get no sympathy from me. You want a rant. We got the death penalty and we deserved it, but UM, Arkansas, Alabama, Michigan, Minnesota, and countless others have been equally deserving and if they had gotten it, you might see some cleansing of the cesspool called college football. Instead they do what we did and worse, report themselves and get a wrist slap. I'm glad to see that Miami has academic standards. I'm not sure how Sean Taylor got in and stayed eligible but more power to the Canes.

Sean Taylor is an absolute genius compared to the likes of Michael Irvin, Lamar Thomas and some of the other valedictorians who have rolled through Coral Gables.
