So SMU would be stealing someone else's legacy? Good to see it go both ways.
I had heard from Fiesty that they were going to do some upgrades in the near future. I bet Greg McCoy at TCU is another that will be upgraded. Same old Rivals private school prejudice once again.
TCU has commitments from eight players off of SportsDay's Area Top 100, including getting a key pledge from Woodrow Wilson's Greg McCoy. Loyal readers of this blog know how much Buzz respects McCoy and believes that at No. 37 in the area he is about 20 or 25 spots too low on the list (Buzz has no control over this because the top 34 players come directly in order off of Rivals.com's state list).
Sour grapes. SMU offered, he visited and we wanted him badly until the bitter end. Don't know whatelse is relevant. BTW it could be true but I have never heard any mention that McCoy has academic issues.
You want to identify a souce because there is no mention of that on any of the 10-12 stories I have read about him. I get pretty tired of running down recruits we don't get off hearsay without the slightest foundation. SMU wanted him until the very second he committed to TCU-doesn't appear to be any problems to SMU about academic issues. It had no affect on SMU's failure to get McCoy.
