Before you know it you'll have Rice players assaulting the other team with helmets and crutches. That sure would be a sight to see.

I don't think Rice has the money to afford a name coach like Coker. Unless Coker is really desperate, which I doubt. Especially since Rice wouldn't put up the money to kleep Graham, I bet Coker doesn't take the bait. If he's even actually interviewing, that is.

If they offer him a deal I sure that incentives will get him to Rice.
Maybe a base salary of under 1 million plus country club membership, a car, maybe even a house, plus all those added bonus for winning more than 6 games, going to a bowl, winning a bowl, and staying for a second year and not leaving for another job bonus.

Coker is now considered a tired retread like Slocum and A&M, Makovic after UT and Arizona and Toledo after UCLA et al(" a failed bit"). If he doesn't jump at a job this year he may never get one again. I bet you could have him for $500,000

Who considers him "a tired retread"?

Not to be confused with the mrydel "seat" of approval (for jtstang).

Give Fat Bob some time...it is not the easiest thing to do to recruit in New Orleans. I predict next year Fat Bob will steal a few recruits we would love to have....also, I don think Slocumn or Mackovic were ever offered other college and pro jobs like Fat Bob.......did I mention he is fat?

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
