EastStang is absolutely correct, this team can't run and gun. People complained last year and wanted Tubbs to install a fast break offense, but there is a good reason neither coach has tried it. I knew we would struggle on offense again this year, but with 3 seniors and 2 juniors starting I was hoping our defense would be better. One change I would like to see is Rack not trying to handle the ball inside. He is a senior and has proven time and again that he isn't a center. Since he has a nice outside shot, I say let him fire away from the perimeter and kick all offensive rebounds that he gets back out to someone else.

Actually, our defense has been pretty good. PPG are about what they were last year. Its when you turn the ball over and the other team gets a break, there's not much any defense can do about that except perhaps foul and our bench is so thin that we can't afford to give lots of fouls. The best plan is to slow the game down and not turn the ball over.

If that were easy to do, I would add that we also score more points than the other team to the list of things to do.

What drives me nuts is our propensity for allowing way too many easy baskets, especially when we get 0.

I just watched the first half tape while on the treadmill. It reminded me of a few things.....No. 1, I forgot how much that I HATE tommy penders!!!! I would like to kick his smug sawed off arse. Another is, I am sure Jon Killen is a great student, a fine son, and a good guy, but he is an absolute disaster as a point guard! He has turnovers that you couldn't do on purpose! Another is, Coogar High is a bush league commuter school, with a punk coach, and a bunch of low class, scum bag, dirt dobbers in their program that couldn't spell cat, if you spotted them the k and the a. Whew! Now I feel better! Oh yeah.......I hate Uncle Tom Penders condescending, pompous, gel on his permed hair, wrinkled old run off from ut's a--!!!

I went to high school with Penders Jr and I remember being at Chevron being at least 6 inches taller than Tom and I also remember him [deleted] because Jr did not play even though he sucked

When I talk about that our defense is not bad, I look at points scored. So far this year we have held opponents under 60 eleven times this year and under 70 seventeen times this year. Usually, if you can hold your opponents under 70, you have a good chance to win.
