eye candy

It ain't bad in Texas and we don't have mudslide, forest fires or earthquakes.

Just heat, which makes for partially unwrapped eye candy.
Just send 'da money.

My window is an entire wall and faces Northwest.

I am cold, dense, and just plain cold today.

You're in the wrong state, bro. Actually we've had record lows in Southern California as well. It's in the 30's every night here - highs in the 50's...And it snowed in Malibu!!!

Earthquakes, mudslides, forest fires and now SNOW. Why would anybody live in CA?

I like the eye candy part; is funny. Mind you, I went to CA in late 90s kicking and screaming the whole way...my wife's parents lived there, and it was either remain in God's Country...Texas...or stay married. I chose the latter, and I am glad I did.

Climate is generally outstanding, the culture/s rich and robust, the terrain absolutely wonderful, the cities (San Diego, LA, & San Fran) thoroughly exciting, the history as colorful and varied as Texas, the business climate a lot better than non-Californians like to make it, and since I lived in South Orange County, every second car was a Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, or Range Rover. Just like Camp Wonderland (aka SMU).

To be honest, I also found a church out there that I was comfortable with...Saddleback Church. I am Episcopalian...the frozen chosen so the saying goes...but I like a little life in worship service. Although much bigger than I prefer, I felt comfortable there.

But I digress. I think SoCal, particularly OC, is fertile ground for recruits. There are a number of players who are strong candidates who want to move away to play ball, but the Pac10 or the WAC or Mountain West picks these kids up. I don't think we should even try playing head to head vs. Pac10, but the other conferences' choices should be a legitimate place for us to look to pilfer recruits. I think SMU presents every bit as great a place for someone who would entertain the smurf-turf.
But that's just me.

As for now, looks like we have our fill. I would like to know who the JUCO LB is that we supposedly have committed.

You're absolutely right. I retract my previous statement as it wasn't grounded in any sort of evidence. Can someone help me out here?

I agree with DiamondM75 though. It's not too bad over there in Texas.

Poor Al Gore...it must be global warming! How can we predict a 100 year trend if we can't forecast the weather 24 hours in advance?

Actully, statistically speaking, it is easier to trend extended periods of time than short periods of time. That's the point of it being a "trend".

Points off the trendline, be it weather, sales/revenue forecasts, population growth, or in the stock market mean that "an event" has occurred.

BTW, I am not an advocate of Al Gore or global warming, but your question really doesn't work for what you were wanting it to work.

Just FYI ...

That picture wasn't offensive...

I was just giving the people what they asked for.

no Herron or Beachum on this list. Is this accurate? Are the final spots not yet offered? Are there academic issues?

Just using irony to generate humor! I thought you could tell. If not, why are there just as many cities showing a decline in temps. as those showing a rise in the past 100 years?

Former VP Gore hasn't visited those cities yet. Less hot air.

I guess the list should be updated for Ryan Leonard since he is already enrolled as confirmed by PonyPride.
