You are doing it wrong-you should have no expectations on Saturday. Try it that way before you quit it altogether.

This must be Bizzaro MM1965. I personally would be very happy with SMU football if I expected a loss every Saturday and then was surprised by a win on Sunday morning. Sounds like 12-0 to me.

I'm sick and tired of expecting a loss every Saturday and being pleasantly surprised by a win come Sunday morning. I'm not renewing my Mustang Club membership this year. I'm not buying season tickets this year. I may not renew my S.M.U. license plates for this year. SMU has no commitment to its athletic program. It's all smoke-and-mirrors with Turner, Orsini and the rest of the athletic department and the Mustang Club. I'm as mad as hell and I just can't take it anymore.

Here's my prediction: 0-12. Hasta la vista.

If SMUstang would renew those season tickets and point that Prius North every once in a while, he would get more Mustang news.

My prediction is 5-6. The bus gets lost and doesn't get the team to the game on the other game.

If you were to ask me what is going to happen...

SMU is not going to get any kind of pressure up front on defense. As a result, the weak secondary (and it will be weak) will get exposed. As a result, the offense will be playing catchup most games and will be pretty predictable. Willis is going to be asked to do too much and he won't deliver. Some will call it a sophomore slump by Willis, but the reality is he isn't going to have much of a chance because the running game will not have improved.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Wow, you folks just get your Christmas bills or something?

I predict big years for Willis and McCann and a one game improvement in the win/loss column.

I am going to have to agree. As much as I love SMU and want them to win, I am going to be a realist here and say 1 more year of sub-par football, leading to the firing of PB. But it is nice expecting a loss, only to be shocked with a win!

Maybe it has something to do with knowing that if SMU had beaten NTSU or Rice, SMU would have gone to a bowl game.

Dooby welcome back, but I see you brought Kathy with you. We didn't have a losing season last year, I thought Kathy was only for losing seasons.

No, I'm not saying be so optimistic that you're blind to the problems. When you expect to win, you are already halfway there. Same goes with losing. So why don't we expect to win for once? Why do you have this point to focus merely on the negative and never accept the positives for what they are?

I'll tell you what has gotten old, 20 YEARS OF LOSING!

As for expecting to win, please explain to me how the expectations of posters on this board turns into wins on the field.

I understand the frustration, I really do. But don't forget that we avoided a losing season last year for the first time in nearly a decade . And don't forget that we've got a legitimate offensive threat under center for the first time since Flanigan.

Yes, the NTSU loss hurt and, yes, we should have beaten Rice. But it's not all gloom and doom. Holy smokes, people.

Come on man, don't dog on SMU athletics. I mean, you still have soccer, you did go 17-2-4, which ain't bad at all.
