This will be my last view of this thread because it has gone a little far and is not even remotely about recruiting anymore.
QB Springer carried your team all year to some borderline wins, some routs. He played well all year -- but, when he played a real team, with a real offense, and a defense that wasn't even good, he got exposed. Sure, his stats looked good when you posted them...313 yards passing and 144 yards rushing.
What you failed to mention was that QB Springer threw for 313 yards, while passing the ball 42 times. 18 for 42 -- 43% against a mediocre defense. Oh, and Springer threw 2 picks and 0 TDs in the first half when the game was sort of in reach. I'll also be damned if most of those completions weren't on the last 2 or 3 drives -- same with a lot of the rushing yards.
The kid can run the ball, but what fast QB can't in high school?!
Your QB could turn into a solid utility player at S or WR, but he won't be a starting QB in D1.
Off the topic of the QB:
As for the game not being out of reach? It was 31-0 with 4 or 5 minutes left in the 3Q. You say I wasn't there? Wow you're naive. Los Fresnos got blasted and the score didn't do the game justice. LF was never in it after the 1Q.
