Cheerleader Suggestions

Postby friarwolf » Thu Jan 25, 2007 6:23 pm

I have several suggestions for whomever is in charge of the cheerleaders:

1) Please retire those hideous uniforms!!!!!!! In order to wear one and look attractive in it, you must look like a Victoria's Secret Model. Newflash: We don't have any that meets this criteria.

2) Google USC Song Girls and check out those classic uniforms. Our cheerleaders would look much, much, much better in those. I am sure some of our cheerleaders would very much appreciate not having to expose their middrifts (spare tires in some cases).............Please order today......

3) Cheerleaders, please act excited to come out onto the court. Talk about a buzz kill. They stroll out - probably embarrassed to be seen in those god awful uniforms with their bellies hanging over their skirts - and typically do the same old pyramid thing and then stroll off.

I attended SMU as a freshman 39 years ago. ALL the women were hot. Now your telling me the cheerleaders have flab hanging over their belts?

For all suggestions about the cheerleaders/dance team email Zac Brannon. His email is [email protected] Be careful though, this '03 graduate of Oklahoma will cop an attitude with you if you dare to suggest that what he has been doing with the teams isn't the greatest thing ever. No amount of buttering him up helps either.
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

We actually have some very tiny and thin cheerleaders, but even for them, those uniforms are not flattering. And the short tight top has to constantly be adjusted and pulled down to hide the sports bra underneath (sometimes unsuccessfully).

That said, I'm sure the cheerleading squad would GLADLY accept a donation for new uniforms. That donation would probably be quite manageable. I have no idea what one actually costs, but even if we say the outrageous price of $200 a pop, $5000 would buy 25 of them.

Yes. He was the founder of Cheerleader's Supply and used to bank at First City Dallas when I worked there in 1979. See the following link for more info. on Lawrence:

BTW more trivia, one former head cheerleader of note was Aaron Spelling, whose career produced numerous hit television programs such as “Dynasty,” “Charlie’s Angels,” The Love Boat,” “Melrose Place,” and “Seventh Heaven.” Spelling past away on June 23, 2006, at the age of 83. Here is SMU's link for Aaron:
