his new song "Lips of an Angel" headed to top of the charts. That's 3 hit songs in about a year. Country Music Superstar?

You did not start every thread about him moron that was MM65 and myself - sorry had to throw that back at you since you called me one. Kick [deleted] recruiting work by the wayStallion wrote:Yep and I started every single thread too. Really like his music-it appeals to both country and crosses over to what do they call it now the Pop audience. Think SMU could use Ingram for a promotion. Ingram could be the fastest rising star in Country Music-plus he's one of us.

Jack's new stuff is really great. I have enjoyed his live album (from Billy Bobs). He is getting some serious play on CMT and GAC with his "Love You" video.
I am happy to see him succeed. In my opinion he is a better show than Pat Green (though they are somewhat similar).
At least he has surpassed Jackopierce (who by the way are still playing shows in front of 100-200 - which is pretty much the same as the Rhythm Room/Stempys/Home or whatever that place was called held).

yah back when he sang texas country... his new stuff (or covering of "lips of an angel" written and recorded by Hinder) is nashville garbage... you can see a big change in his music since he signed with a nashville label last novemberSMU Football Blog wrote:Does his new record have "Mary Go Round" on it? Every other frickin' record he has put out since 1995 has.

Stallion, you may have learned of Ingram a year ago, but some of us saw him play Adairs back in 1994 and bought every record since.

It is hard to name any bands who did not sell out (perhaps the Skastafarians, Supplication, and any other band that you have likely never heard of). Even the anti-establishment jam bands the Dead and Phish sold out to cash in.jtstang wrote:Sorry to hear that-does he play both kinds of music? Kudos for Jack - someone's got to make some $$$ off Capital Records.

Skastafarians? Man, I hadn't heard that group mentioned in a long time. A few of my friends were in that group(one was my HS Drum Major and the other was my best friend from back in elementary school). They were awesome but they were ahead of the curve in that they arrived on the scene before the big ska craze of the 90s. If they had managed to stay together when that arrived, I think they would have hit the scene big time. They'd already made an appearance on Conan for winning the talent competition and they were way better than some of the so called Ska bands that made it.PonyTime wrote:It is hard to name any bands who did not sell out (perhaps the Skastafarians, Supplication, and any other band that you have likely never heard of).jtstang wrote:Sorry to hear that-does he play both kinds of music?
