SMU game-watching party

Postby PonyFan » Thu Feb 01, 2007 1:22 pm

So the SMU/Memphis game is on national TV this Saturday at 11 AM, I think.

Where are folks going to watch it? I'm thinking First & 10 or Fox & Hound. Any preferences?

Prefer FOx and hound, more TVs. But either will work.

Does anyone know if it's going to be in High Def?

If it is on ESPN it will be in High Def if the receiver has the capability.

That is not entirely true...There are plenty of games they broadcast that are not in HD...The first college game on the past few nights has not been in HD...I guess I can just go to the ESPN website...Thanks

Just answered my own question...The game will not be in HD...There is not an "HD" next to the title on ESPN's TV Schedule...They won't have a b-ball game in HD until 3PM that afternoon...Just thought some of you would like to know...

I vote for Bailey's First & 10 -- my favorite burger (outside of those that come off my own grill)!

I guess I stand corrected. I have not had an instance on my system where if a program was on ESPN, the ESPN HD station did not have it in HD. I will be the first to admit that I do not watch ESPN all the time, but I sure thought if you had HD capability on your receiver to pick up ESPN HD then the game would be broadcast in HD. Here's to hoping you are wrong, but I doubt it.

Is anyone going to the first and 10 to watch the game? Or should I stay home and watch by myself so I can cuss in privacy.

Has anyone confirmed that they'll show the game?
If so, I'm there.

I'll be at Fox and Hound. I've grown rather fond of one of the waitresses there, and if the game gets ugly I can watch her, instead.

That is good with me - are you going to the one by LBJ?

XTC, I should add, if you don't mind me horning in on your action. Doesn't seem like we have too many interested in getting together for the game.
