Here in Chicago, it is Go Bearrsss!

Woke up to -8 this morning, but the city is ready for a great game. Despite the Colts being favored by 7, the fans are ready for our first Super Bowl and victory in 21 years.

Perhaps everyone is worried about Rex Grossman, I am not.

Bears 28 Colts 24!

I love this day. Its a bittersweet day. The biggest game of the year, lots of drinking, good friends, good food, then the realization in a drunken state that football is no more until August.

I already miss football season.

Anyways, should be a great game. I can see this one going either way. If the Pats were in it, I would have them favored big, so I am glad its an even matchup. No preference in who wins, I am just waiting for some great commericals and an even better game.

Not if that Pony is an Irsay.

Damn. Happy for Tony Dungy and Peyton Manning, but I really wanted to see the Bears win it.

Unwillingness to commit to run, which led to a defense that increasingly got tired and a Rex that forced passes, even when it wasn't there, brought da Bears down.

Sad ending for a great season.

I think Benson's injury probably changed the plans a little. Turnovers killed them. Give credit to the Colts, they wanted it and were hitting like kamakazies. Wait til next year.

Benson was a wasted pick. Thomas Jones was the man all year, and he did a fine job last night.

The Bears should have never taken the TV-stealing dope smoker anyway.

Of course, when you have an idiot coach who sticks by a spare like Rex Grossman even when he puts up 0.0 passer ratings it's hard to feel sorry for them.

Yeah, they should have drafted that SMU running back instead.

To pin the loss on Cedric Benson is asinine. Of course, you know what they say about arguing on the internets....

Cedric had been a disappointment last year, his rookie season, especially when he held out all training camp. It set him back a year.

However, by the second half of this season he quietly built his resume with his teammates and earned respect from everyone. When he and Jones were designed into the game plan, the results were impressive, e.g. New Orleans game. He can pound it into the middle and make a defensive line suffer over time.

Against the Saints, the Bears ran 41 times vs 19 against the Colts. Rex should have been on a very short leach and the loss of Benson made it necessary to rely more on Grossman's arm.

The fact that the Bears were playing poorly, but only down by five after three quarters, was surprising and survivable. But, turnovers ended any hope quickly after that.
