Decommitted from ASU. Article mentions Baylor and Michigan State are/were interested but he wants to see who else offers. Might not enroll as a full time student until January 2008, so good timing for a Willis replacement.
Anyone want to elaborate on Foles skills?

Westlake QB Nick Foles 6' 4" 250lbs. Rivals personal rating 5.5, 3 Stars, Rivals # 30 QB in the country. I sure hope PB will contact this guy.

I've watched him play and he is a beast.
In the playoffs, he played against a SA team who had a QB committed to Miami and made him look like a JV QB. He played a valley team with a QB committed to UTEP and made him look like a peewee player. I think in that game he started 12 for 12 with 3 touchdowns...
I know that they played SLC for state and he stood out more than Riley Dodge as the better QB with much less talent to throw the ball to and much less talent blocking for him on the line.
He is very much a pro-style QB...he moves around in the pocket, but he doesn't scramble. Throws the ball on a line...hard and can throw it very, very far.
Having seen him play, Rivals rated him as the lowest a 3 star can be.
He is definately no less than a 4 star QB in talent. 6'5" and a 4 year varsity hoops player doesn't hurt either.
In all honesty, this kid could give Willis a run for his money the second he got on campus -- CUSA freshman of the year or not.

Also Foles lists Duke as a school he is interested in so grades are not an issue.

We REALLLLY want this guy. Him and alcohol could help us forget about the the whole GJ Kinne situation.

Nick is amazing. A lot of schools quit looking at him towards the end of his junior year because he still couldn't decide between football and basketball. I played with him last year, and he has the ability to completely take over a game.

Since he is better than Kinne...both Baylor and UT could benefit from signing Foles.

Why don't you e-mail some info to PB instead of just posting that you hope he contacts the kid.

If you were in a business of buying/selling widgets-don't you think that you would have a subscription to www.Buywidgets.com. I crack up everytime I hear you guys who actually don't realize that all these schools subscribe to Rivals at the same time they are badmouthing them.

I assume the Coaches are familiar with this guy as Foles is one of the top QB prospects in Texas. I just hope he has interest in SMU now that he is interested in looking at other schools but I'll be glad to pass it along.............AS FOR AS " yammering on here about this kid" I thought that was the point of this web site ?

It was my understanding that Logan Turner was the only QB that we were recruiting. Of course, things could change, but I bet he would be surprised if we recruited a second QB if he was told otherwise.
