Flipping through the channels tonight, it's hard not to stop on the A&M-Texas basketball game. It's so funny to see all of the fans at the game when you know they really could care less about the game. It's actually kind of embarrassing. I'm so glad I didn't go to a school like A&M or Texas.
I mean, come on. Everybody knows A&M and Texas are football schools. The only reason the people are at the game tonight is because A&M is in the Top 10.
Speaking of which - I do have to admit A&M has done a nice job sprucing up G. Rollie White Coliseum. It almost looks like a new building! I hope we can do some of the same things to Moody until we get our new arena built.
I'm just glad I went to a school that supports its teams equally across the board. Sure, SMU is primarly a football school but the fans support all teams equally. I guarantee you Moody would be just as full if we were in the Top 10 as if we are 6-20.
I'm sure Vince Young never paid for a drink his whole time in Austin. I'm sure Kevin Durant is paying for his drinks. Nobody in Austin really cares about basketball - they only root for them when they are good.
Go Ponies!

Huh?
There are a lot of reasons why SMU is better than UT and SMU, but fan support at athletic events isn't one of them.

i'm an avid fan of mustang athletics, but at this point in time, it's not correct to say we're better than them in anything. except maybe in men's soccer, but that's probably becuase they don't have a team

It is a new building, and the aggie fans are just as fickle as SMU fans when it comes to basketball. I lived in College Station in the late 80s early 90s, and my best friend's family had season tickets to the mens bball games. They would take me all the time, and their building was just as dead as ours is now.

Um, have you ever been to an SMU sporting event?
I guess you're right. We max out at 25% capacity at both football and basketball.

Zip! That's the sound of this post sailing right over everybody's head.
Sarcasm is difficult to pull off. Sometimes sounds serious.

It absolutely dripped with sacasm. Obviously, dry humor is not a strength of some on the board. Y'all probably thought Jonathan Swift was serious in proposing the Irish sell their children to be eaten.

I still think he's [deleted]. Sounds exactly as [deleted] as every post he has made in the past.
