He is having surgery on a fractured finger that he suffered against Rice.

How do you break a finger, without ripping it off, to require surgery?

I want to say he hurt it flipping the bird to a Rice player that stole the ball from him, but that would be cruel so I will not say that.

My guess it is tendon damage. I broke a finger awhile back playing basketball and the tendon came off the bone which chipped off a piece of the bone as well. I think T.O. is going through something similar now with surgery. Surprises me Fall is only out 3 weeks though...I had pins in my finger for 6 weeks. This season looks like a lost cause so hopefully he takes his time getting back and prepares for the future.

well, the only way to look at this is that it should give Spencer more minutes and given the fact this season is a lost cause, why not? If Cameron is going to contribute down the road, he's got to get some experience at some point. Better in conference play than against E.Podunk U. in the non-conference/pre-season

You make a good point about Spencer. If I have one complaint about Doherty's first year (besides playing Killen), its' that Spencer hasn't received more playing time. I realize Doherty sees him day in day out, but when he played earlier this season he didn't look half bad to me. Here's hoping he sees a lot of minutes as this lost season winds down.
