Have you been chosen to fill out the survey

Postby BUS » Wed Feb 14, 2007 6:31 pm

How much and how much more can we get.

You can not even choose none of the above.

Top 25 in cash.

Come on SMU. Not everything can be give more money - Money for tickets after you make a bunch of people mad about in-out policy.

How much would you pay to park. That spells Texas Stadium. Otherwise why ask.

I really wanted to see what the rest of the survey was going to ask but there is a problem.....
IF you do not answer that you want to pay a MINIMUM of 15 to park, you can not see the rest of the questions.

I X's out.

I think if you are signed up for the Mustang Insider report and they have your email, you will get the survey.

It will be interesting to see if they do anything with the boulevard parking. I have had a parking spot since it started. I was told last year after the hiring of our new AD that he saw $ signs when he saw the boulevard. So does that mean that you are going to have to be at a certain level in the Mustang Club. Or is the cost of parking going up. You think that they would wait until we starting winning to do this.

Dear Mustang Club Member,

Exciting times are ahead for SMU Athletics as we strive to reach our goal of becoming top-25 in every aspect of our athletic program. Being top-25 goes beyond our on-field performances, extending throughout the department and includes our marketing and branding efforts as well.

Over the course of the next few months the SMU Athletic Department and select contract research groups will be conducting market research to learn more about the awareness, attitudes and behaviors of our fans and potential fans. It is important that we do these benchmark studies to help us measure our marketing and branding efforts. The target markets we plan to study include our students, faculty and staff; our alumni; Mustang Club members; season ticket holders; and the citizens of the Metroplex.

In addition, we will periodically survey various groups to learn more about the products and services the department offers. We will use this information to make better decisions as we strive to increase product satisfaction and program revenues and improve customer service.

You have been selected to do a brief online survey to provide information to help us begin making important decisions about the 2007 SMU football season. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. It is very important we get the highest response rate possible as we will be making decisions based largely on the data we receive. We appreciate your willingness to help in our study.

To access the survey go to the following site:

As always, we appreciate your support of SMU Athletics and our quest to be top-25 in all that we do. Go Mustangs!

Sincerely,

Richard Sweet

Signed Richard Sweet but from Hayley Shalley...is she his secretary?

One question, about football parking. Unless they bulldoze a lot of stuff and throw up some new garages, or get some of the people in the neighborhoods across Mockingbird to let SMU charge for parking in front of their houses, how do they propose charging for parking within a 400 yard radius of Ford?

They are building a new parking garage on the corner of Binkley and Airline. Not sure how big, but that would definitely help with football parking.

They can probably get six spaces out of Vodika's old place.

I do not know what Boulevard parking costs at present. I have "silver" parking which is the parking lot in front of the soccer field and adjacent to Ford, less than 50 yards. I believe this requires season tickets and at least Peruna level Mustang Club. I believe I paid either $15 or $20 a game for this parking but for me it was worth it. I believe "gold" parking is covered parking in the Meadows parking garage adjacent to Ford. Do not know if it is any more expensive than silver. I know there are other parking options but do not know the cost. I assume that all parking will probably go up if there is sufficient demand on the available spaces, especially the close in ones. I agree with Bus, the survey was very controled since it did not give you a no answer or not applicable answer option for each question. They could use the survey as a basis for stating that everyone agreed that all parking should be at least $15 a game.

That is the exact point.

They wanted their prices increased - See here is the survey.

I already pay over a grand in M-club dues and parking and season tickets and , and , and,

I want to see top 25 sdvertising, top 25 promotions and top 25 winning.

The survey is flawed. I bet it was made by a graduate of the neeley school.

I would not get too upset over this. If, as Bill says, parking is already $15 or $20 a game for parking next to the stadium, I am sure they are not surveying to lower the cost. Just say that $15 is the maximum you would pay and hope the prices stay where they are.

Now the Blvd section is a little different. I do not park or set up there, but those that do I am sure will want to be able to maintain their privledges for minimal money. This hopefully, however, could lead to better drop off and pick up procedures as were discussed all last year.

Although all Administration looks for money whereever it is able, I think they realize that we are suffering in attendance right now. It would be in the best interest of the program to do things to get people there first, then they can gouge us after the ticket to the game becomes a hard item to obtain.

This is the kind of brainwashing mentality that sent MrMustang1776 over the edge.

I got the survey, but when they asked how many home games I attend each year and I said one, that probably turned them off right there. Given that I live 1200 miles away and I haven't won the lottery yet, going to home games is kind of difficult.

I got the survey and filled it out. Told them I go to every home game. They asked how much I'd be willing to pay for parking, and considering I live within walking distance of the campus, I tried to skip the questions .... and couldn't. They kept sending me back to that window. If they had an answer that would have let me pay "eleventy billion" dollars per game, that would have been my answer.
