Wow, if Epps is out tonight, that 12 point line really looks interesting.

Doh said he decided Friday morning to dismiss Epps after sleeping on it Thursday night. Whatever he did violated "core values" and to not dismiss him would give the impression he was running a loose ship, which he is not. Doh said that Epps was still in school and he hoped he would finish. The DMNs said that Doh had been after Epps on his conditioning and that Epps was quoted as saying he had never had to work as hard before. Sounds like to me Epps went after Doh or one of the coaches in practice. The players were told not to discuss the situation.

ok apparently doherty was riding epps pretty hard at practice, epps talked back and said something he shouldnt have, and then was kicked out of practice. its not the first time he was dismissed from practice, and obviously what was said was severe enough for either doherty to release him or for epps himself to quit.

If you're not willing to put in the work, you don't deserve to be on the team if everyone else is. He will be missed, but the team might be stronger as a whole without him. You have to play by the coach's rules. Seems like everyone else is.

Ah, that's the Doherty we all remember from UNC. A no nonesense disciplinarian who will push the players to excel. I'm glad he slept on it. In the past, he probably would have dismissed him on the spot. That's a good sign. I am happy to see him making sure that the players know they are part of a team.

I wont miss him. I swear that he shot the ball everytime that he touched it which is fine if you are a good shooter. The problem is that he is not a good shooter. That guy would kill more momentum with his terrible 3-point shot selection.

I've heard that can cause problems in the long run.
