TCU FOOTBALL SCHEDULEThe Frogs play Baylor on Sept. 1st, and SMU on the 22nd, and Texas somewhere in the middle. Any of you frogs KNOW the slate?
We play Baylor in Fort Worth on September 1, Texas in Austin on September 8, SMU in Fort Worth on September 22, and Stanford in Palo Alto on October 13.

Yes, but our schedule is filled; 8 MWC games, 4 OOC games.
If the Froggies get crushed by UT, then I'd want them to have a game in between. If the Froggies were to beat UT, then I'd want them to have no games in between. Either way, I don't think they'll be looking past us this year. I would hope that BYU or Utah is the game after ours.
we should get TCU's best shot this year and the game will be played at their place. Should provide an opportunity to see how wide the gap is between our two programs. We've had some pretty ugly outings in Ft Worth in recent years
I just talked with a little froggie, who thinks...wait believes that they will beat tu this year. He didnt know that I was a PonyFan and continued to talk about how he was at the game when they beat ou and that they should have went to a BCS game that year. I waited for the right moment to tell him that I was at the SMU vs. tcu game the next week when the Mustangs burst their little bubble. Go Stangs. Two in a row.

I think you're both sufferin from delusions, but the froggie has seriously
real delusions of grandeur. ![]() ![]()
I spoke with a T sipper the other day that thinks that TCU will beat Texas in Austin this fall. He's also usually full of sh#t for what it's worth.
Go ponies.
As someone who has grown up his entire life surrounded by Texas fans and TCU fans, I can assure you that a year does not go by that TCU fans don't believe they can beat UT.
They're going to run the ball and hope that the QB doesn't lose the game for them. They'll look at their offense the way the Bears look at their offense. Something that goes on the field to give the defense a break before they go back out onto the field and win the game.
I just don't see TCU being AS good without a QB that has some significant playing time.. especially early.
It's apples and oranges.. somewhat, but look at the difference we saw in Willis from the Tech game to the later games. A new QB in Austin is going to have to show significant maturity for TCU to sniff an upset. I'm not at all saying it's impossible.. but I'd say it would be a different ball of wax if they were playing in that fine stadium in Ft. Worse. What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.
For TCU to stay in the game its got to be a defensive struggle. If they can play the type of defense they played in holding Baylor and Tech to an average of 5 points, TCU might be able to stay in the game. Not saying its going to happen but TCU did miss being the No. 1 Rushing defense in the country by a whisker and two absolutely outstanding pass rushers at DE who both made All-Conference by their Junior years. So TCU should be able to present pressure on in oth the running game and passing game. Texas had running game problems at the end of the year. They've got some athletes on defense and I believe the great majority are coming back. If the Depth Chart I'm looking at is correct all defensive starters are returning except for Marvin White as Safety and that's the position they may have recruited the best at in recent recruiting classes with guys like Stephen Hodge, Corderra Hunter and Steven Coleman to name a few who should be able to play next year. I really think that this TCU defense could be the best of many great defenses they've had over the last 10 years.
