Cheapest/best place to eat off of campus when you were their

Got this off of the TCU board lets see what y'all remember.
Mid to late 70's we ate at Howard Johnson on Tuesday nights, all you could eat shrimp. If I remember right it was under $5. HJ use to be located on the North West corner of Central and Mockingbird. Steak and Egg on Hillcrest across from the Law school. Cheap menu. Jack in the Box on Mockingbird, 3 taco's for 99 cents.
