That is a great list. If I had my pick I would want the Gonzalez kid and/or Rhodes. We could use some more guards on this team...and it would help balance out this class as well, considering how strong our big guys seem to be. The only question about Katuka I have is that the only stories I read about him he is constantly referred to as a "project". This needs to be a class that hits the ground running, people that can make immediate impacts. Maybe there is something I don't know about this kid. 6'10 and he doesn't start for his highschool team (at least one mention about that) and has barely gotten interest from D1 schools? Something is off.
Katuka is one of the top unsigned players for the spring signing period. Kentucky is considering him-enough said. Also has offers from SMU, Illinois, Saint Joseph and Rutgers. Visited Auburn and is being pursued by many others.
Katuka had a teammate who was one year above him that is transferring...in other words he played with him when Katuka was a junior...can't remember his name but he could be the transfer coach is talking about. I believe it is someone who he has been planning on for sometime. However, he might have changed his mind and be offering the scholarships to high schoolers...the teammate, I remember, was 6'8" and would be a nice pickup, although he will have to sit out a year. Just a thought on this.
There's a kid at Virginia Commonwealth named Franck Ndongo who went to school with Katuka. He was playing regular minutes for most of the year, but hasnt played at all in their last 5 games. I dont know if he's injured or in the coach's doghouse. I'm NOT saying its him, just that he's the only one I can think of that fits the description.
Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.
Javi Gonzales listed at the top has now been offered by NC St. His Coach thinks he could be the 6A player of the year in Florida. He has a visit to NC St. coming up this Wednesday and his coach offered his opinion that it is possible he might commit.
Stallion: Take him to Stallion Estate mobile Home park in Bulverde and he will change his mind
Added JUCO prospect Constantin Motnii. Also added links to each polayers Rivals page. I hope the NCState offer isn't true on Gonzalez or he for some reason decides to turn it down.
was he the kid next to Alex Malone? Dallas Mavericks - 2011 NBA CHAMPIONS!
