How inspirational! I got out my raccoon coat, filled my hip flask for Saturday's game, thumbed through some old playbills from the Pigskin Revue, danced a little Fox trot (and Charleston!), reviewed old photographs documenting the construction of Ownby Stadium, listened to some favorite 78s selected from the Victor Record Catalog, read a post from some SMU Alum-wannabe, all while wondering if Sacco and Vanzetti should have been let off the hook by Gov. Dukakis.

....I got out the blender and the 1982 SMU v ut tape to "get ready" for the big clash on Saturday, I guess I'm sort of wierd that way..couldn't find my Andy Griffith stuff...MrMustang63, you are a true inspiration to ALL of us lowly SMU Alums and fans, who, after reading your daily, almost hourly posts, realize with a heavy heart, our SMUness need to be elevated to a level only matching yours, we can only dream of such heights and will remain glued and inspired to your inspirations, please keep them coming. Long Live Rick Cowart.

Ya know, we need more people connected to the traditions of this program not less. If it bugs you, just move on, but the guy is a big fan and lets face it, who are we to be selective, its not like they are lining up down Mockingbird at the moment. Lighten up or at least just be civil.

BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

N & C -
I do remember those Life Magazine covers from my childhood.
I was in Cub Scout Pack 37 (What else) based at the church on campus and I remember the time when Doak Walker and Val Joe Walker came as the program for a pack meeting.
