Roberts & Epps could be two of our better players if they can get well.
Not sure if it is Robert's back or leg. Epps has ham string problems again.

Dawg - all I know is in the original post. The injuries haven't been confirmed with the players. The information came from a source that has been present for several basketball practices and who knows the players.

if 17 is the over under I say under. 14-15 would be a good as we rebuild. We will kill TCU however - they are truely horrible.

Year after we are at 21 wins.

What are we right now, 14-15? We need to bump the conference win over/under thread also.

I guess by my standards in this thread, Doherty did a great job in his first season. Hope his recruiting will allow a great job to mean something in the future.

Should have a good mix next year with a group of seniors that played extensively this year and got better which should compliment all the freshman coming in.

We'd better hope we have enough talent coming in that those seniors are coming off the bench. I for one have no desire to see Killen handling the ball at point guard ever again. He looked at the ball as he dribbled enough this year to count the dots on it.

Not the best ball handler by any means but I think he did improve...definitely would like to see Dez at point but I think Killen played better than most expected him to....he showed signs of making some nice drives to the bucket and he was pretty accurate from the three line in spurts......He is a good kid and a hard worker and I am willing to bet that he will be a gym rat all summer and come back and have a solid senior season and will be better in all aspects of his game....I personally look forward to seeing him play.

Also, a healthy Roberts can be a good thing, he was not 100 percent for most of the year and I look for him to do good things as well. I see them all making good contributions next year and hopefully Bamba will continue to improve.

Has Roberts ever been 100% healthy? He had a knee injury before he got here and it seems as though it has bugged him his whole college career.
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

I'm actually not sure we've hit bottom yet although I'm perfectly willing to give Doherty 4-5 years to build the program. We're losing our top 3 scorers in Pearson, Ike and Epps and the Rack on the inside too. We will lose about 42 ppg out 62 ppg. The returning players made about 9 baskets per game collectively. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for the future. Unless Mike Walker is the Man I think SMU should really struggle next year.

Next season should be interesting.....already looking forward to it.
We all thought Coach was insane when he said Ike who averaged 3.9 points a game last season was going to be one of our best players, and he was right. Will be fun to see who he can get to step up next season.

Tubbs and Dement are long gone people. Please shutup about the Tide. Nobody cares.

It will not be pretty next year. I always wondered where the scoring would come from this year - we seem to be at 19-21 pts for the 1st half of every game. That doesn't cut it.

I like Doherty and the enthusiasm he brings, PR, and practice facilty. It's unfortunate the crap we've been through as fans. I know a lot of you have been on here for several years. This year has been the most dissinterested I have been.

Ike was a nice surprise but that was about the only bright spot this year. I just wish we could bring some immediate impact players without having to wait another season before we get anywhere. Without that, we're looking a few years down the road before the Orsini effect comes into place (Top 25 program).....kinda sounds like the Committment?? I haven't seen much difference in the game presentation whatsover aside from our scoreboard. It's not Top 25 to me.

it was nice to see Ike step up, but it never meant anything as a senior playing a team going nowhere. fact is, this team looked flat all year. maybe it has to do with having 3 coaches in four years. several of these guys were recruited by Dements staff, went through a mini-scandal last year where teammates apparently ratted on teammates, and started all over again as veterans this year. thats a tough go.

this year was hard to watch, and yes boring, because other than Bamba, who has a chance to be here or have an impact role on a truly better team? I don't see any shortcuts, no signs that any transfers, jucos or immediate impact players are coming. its gonna be a slow climb, but i look forward to seeing a core of young players show something positive. I just wish SMU would have done a facility improvement 10 or 15 years ago, when it really needed to be done. our facilities are ancient and they doomed this program to the position its in today. hopefully, the long over due improvements and dohertys name and enthusiasm can drag us out of this hole. Its sure hard to watch schools like North Texas, Oral Roberts, Butler and others taste a little success and it seems we are so very far away. next year might be bad, but it will be more interesting at least.
