First, they never sniffed around in Austin. Its not an accident that the President of UT was on the NCAA infractions committee for years. But A&M has as many NCAA major infractions as SMU. They get investigated every decade or so. Now they do what the SMU case taught all the schools to do. Open the raincoat, show your imperfections, beg forgiveness. We not only violated the rules with impunity, we flaunted them and when investigated flipped the proverbial bird at the investigators. That's why we got the DP. And now that appears to be the sole situation in which the Committee on infractions will actually levy the penalty.
