Ran into old friend Matt Williams today

Postby mavsrage311 » Sun Mar 11, 2007 11:01 pm

Matt's a really nice guy, he's back playing from his two broken ankles. He has also de-enrolled from A & M and is looking to play on scholarship next year somewhere. He told me UNT and Ark. State have already offered, but he is waiting to see what else is out there. He did tell me that he didn't leave SMU because of what was going down with his grandfather, but because he didn't think he'd get cleared to play basketball again, and if that was the case, he just wanted to be somewhere else. We also had a great conversation about burgers and cheer ;-)

I am kind of hungry and my laundry needs to be done. Do you think he will help me?

nah he's a great kid, pretty much reinforced what others have told me, nothing earth shattering. It was good to see him playing again, I'll be keeping an eye out to see where he's playing next
