CUSA has one claim to fame at least

How many other mid-level conferences have got teams in the sweet 16 besides the CUSA? Not the Sunbelt, or WAC. We'll see how far UNLV and Butler get.

I love Salukis

SIU has a great mascot. So glad to hear their names in the sweet 16. So three mid-level conference teams have advanced, only Memphis can go further.

I count four teams from non-power conferences: Memphis, UNLV, Southern Illinois, Butler. That's 25% representation. Not bad.

Hope Memphis (and CUSA) make Final Four and win it.

My personal favorite is Vanderbilt Commodores. Great story, if they advance. Three Tennessee teams still in it with UT in the mix.

I just wish that Xavier could have pulled out the game against OSU. The Big 10 (plus 1) would have been out completely.

Yes, but Purdue gave Florida a scare. Only Wisconsin didn't play up to expectations and they had the game won against UNLV, but blew it.

Ohio St. will be out soon enough. Just like Wisconsin, they cannot keep up with teams that can run and score at a high tempo. I think Tennessee will beat them next round, or if not then either A&M or Memphis in the elite 8.

Yesterday, Memphis stung Nevada early, then went to show time, then had to go back and play again after their star was hurt. I got the feeling that they were head and shoulders better than Nevada when they wanted to be. I think the game against the Aggies should be a real war.

Aggies have home court advantage

Postby Sam I Am » Tue Mar 20, 2007 12:14 pm

The Alamodome will be filled with maroon for the Memphis game. I think memphis is a better team but I don't know who will win because it is the sweet 16.

If SMU can almost beat Memphis with only 5 scholarship players then I pray for the soul of Memphis because the Aggies are going to destroy them. Wheter you know nothings want to admit it or not the Ags are loaded with talent and are going to final 4. Acie Law is the real deal. Sloan, Carter, Kirk, Pompey and Jones can also play. Memphis beat UNT and Nevada to get to the point. This is where their pants get pulled down and they go home. Just like USC did to UT. Exposed the posers for what they are.
