TCU has everybody and their dog back on defense. Will they really need a QB?

If we can muster a balanced attack this year passing, throwing and controlled scrambles that coud pressure any defense. Three keys are 1) a healthy Martin; 2) a healthy Willis; and 3) improvement on the O-line. On defense, we must improve our pass defense. We looked like swiss cheese last year. If those things happen, we should have a winning season and may pull off an upset along the way.

you cant base your success on one or two players being healthy! If you do, you will lose as there are no for sures in football. Instead, work the back ups and get them prepaired.

the team with the best 2-3rd stringers will be succesfull

Welcome to the world of Mid-major football where every team is one or two injuries away from a disastrous season. And there are special players who if they go down, kill a team's season. I think Willis is that type of a player for the Mustangs.

TCU has lost about 3 of its superstars almost every year for about the last 5-6 years-and they keep on rolling. Its called outstanding recruiting and depth.

So which is it?

They haven't lost anyone and therefore are bound for BCS glory, or they reload better and are bound for BCS glory?

I just want to be sure I give up all hope for the right reason.

I believe he is just referring to the fact that they seem to lose a starter or two every year due to injury, and yet have failed to miss a step in their season.
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

I notice that Sallion is once again gleefully pricking those sunshine balloons. Unlike years in the past, however, there are many prognosticators and posters outside the SMU fan base predicting a winning record and bowl game for the Mustangs. See the CUSA fan forum among others. Go Ponies, live in the sunshine.

This is the problem with many colleges and college coaches. they focus so much on one or two players that they fail to fully develop and rotate there depth chart. It was the same when cavan was here. There are great athletes on smu's depth chart now, but you would never know it. It is a mental thing with them and many athletes. Some adjust well when thrown in the fire and some do not. And the major reason they do not is because coaches (strength included) do not focus on the #1 factor that determins success.....A KIDS MENTAL OUTLOOK!!!!

If smu would develop the mental state of ALL their players (which i think Crazy Vic Viloria will do just fine at) then they will be in bowls every year and breaking the top 25 rankings.

until then............better get ready for more frogs in dallas
