Went on the site and poll had changed. Who won? What was it about?

It is still going on. You have to click on "next" on the main screen to get to the Mascot voting. We also need to plan ahead for the next match. If we beat Maryland, it looks like we will be up against either a Spider or the Colorado Buffalo. Needless to say, the Buffalo would be tough. So, go to the Colorado/Richmond contest and vote for the spider in order that we can have an easier second round.

I voted for SMU, Richmond Spiders, Missouri/KC Kangaroos, and UC Irvine Anteaters to give us the best bracket. And now I'm embarassed that I actually did all that.
GO MUSTANGS!

there hasn't been this much excitement around these parts since SMU won the 2005 Texas Division 1A Class II State Championship.

I really think if we can get by Ralphie we have a chance. But I would not print tshirts just yet.

If we can get past Ralphie, I'd like to take my chances with the Ram. After all Peruna already has killed one ram in 1936. I would suggest if we get that far, we email this guy so he can write about that.

Duh...did you not realize that Maryland just might have a few more fans than us? Did you think they weren't encouraging their fans to vote like we were doing?

I'm just surprised that it turned around so quickly. After leading for several days, I guess I fooled myself into thinking that we might actually win.
