Good god, the Ponies OVERachieved this year. No team that plays that many freshmen for that many minutes should win like we did. Coach Rompola and her staff did a terrific job this year, and will be even better next year. How many games did you go to this year?

And I'll say again, how many games did you go to this year?

As soon as you figure out how to read the future, I want some stocks/investment advice. Can you share your crystal ball with the rest of us?

Follow the Ponies, and you know they had a very good year. Young, talented team with a very bright future. Next year's senior class is going to be awesome, and when they graduate, the younger classes are stocked with some serious talent.

I thought your axe to grind was with football -- what's your problem with Coach Rompola? She's 100 games over .500 at SMU. She and her staff do a terrific job, especially considering the resources and budget they get. With the young talent coming in and the Crum Center, she's only going to get better. She is one of the clear strengths of our athletic department.

And then next year, we have the following year.

Ok, and I'll say... who cares? how is that relevant?

the REAL question is, how many years have YOU been waiting for them to win a championship, or return to the NCAAs

Ok, smart guy, are we seeing any improvement here?

Rice has finished higher than us every year in the past 5 years.

2006 - 6th place (out of 12)
2005 - 3rd place (10-8 in a crappy conference)
2004 - 5th place (out of 10)
2003 - 5th place (out of 10)
2002 - 7th place (out of 10)

Maybe we were worse before 2002...no wait, we were BETTER, and since that time, TCU, Baylor, and Texas A&M have all been ranked teams despite being doormats before that.
