Do we have anybody in charge of watching out for QB stalkers in 2007?

That would be profiling. Not PC.

Not to ruin this comical mood, what happened at VT shows that stalkers have been known to go postal.

Apparently Pick is not a Junior College player after all. When you say Dodge City in recruiting circles you automatically think of the Junior College not the High School. So I made a mistake-sue me!!! None of you guys caught me anyway-shows you how asleep at the wheel you guys are. We don't need a Junior College QB this year anyway as I so clearly, painstakingly and eloquently pointed out. Phil's not as crazy as I feared.

Early Graduate?

Kale Pick says that the style of offense a school runs will be a main factor. "I want to play in a passing offense for coaches that I can get along with," Pick said. "I'd rather commit before my senior year. I'm trying to graduate early so that I can be available for spring ball..."

Kale Pick, the 6-foot-2, 195 pound quarterback from Dodge City (Kan.) finished his junior season with 1800 yards passing for 19 touchdowns and six interceptions.
"I know the game and have great accuracy," Pick said. "I'm a good dual-threat quarterback and have quick feet. I can throw on the run and have a strong arm.

"I want to improve all around. There's nothing that I wouldn't want to do better," he said. "I just want to learn more about the game, improve my technique and read defenses faster."

Pick can bench 250 pounds, squat 340 and has a 33-inch vertical jump. He also runs the 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds.

Although he denies a leader, Pick favors Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado State, SMU and Nebraska. All of his favorites have offered, except for the Sooners and Huskers.

"Oklahoma has a great coaching staff and they always seem to adapt to their quarterback," Pick said. "They do it all and have great versatility in their offense.

"I also like the West Coast offense at Nebraska.

"Oklahoma and Nebraska both said they want to see me throw in person," he said. "An Oklahoma coach was at my practice last week and they'll be coming to my practice again."

Pick attended junior days at Iowa State and Kansas.

"I like the coaching staff at Iowa State a lot and the new offense they are bringing," Pick said. "They are really straight forward and it's easy to talk with them. They are gonna be passing the ball a lot more and spreading the ball out. It's a great opportunity for a quarterback.

"Kansas passes the ball a lot too and I like how they run the no-huddle," he said. "They do a lot of fast breaks too and they are a team on the rise."

Pick says that the style of offense a school runs will be a main factor. "I want to play in a passing offense for coaches that I can get along with," Pick said. "I'd rather commit before my senior year. I'm trying to graduate early so that I can be available for spring ball."

He reports a 3.6 core GPA, but has not scheduled

Good info. I just wonder if the style of offense will be a factor in his decision, or if he will graduate early. :P

by graduate early he means in December 2007 after his senior year-its a growing trend especially for QBs going to a school where they may play early.

Sounds like another brainiac:

Kale Pick says that the style of offense a school runs will be a main factor.

"I want to play in a passing offense for coaches that I can get along with," Pick said. "I'd rather commit before my senior year. I'm trying to graduate early so that I can be available for spring ball..."

NOTE TO KALE: See Mitch Mustain and the reason why he left Arkansas

I do not think Mustain and Pick have the same mother.
And they now have a QB coach who coaches a pro style of passing QB with a lot of experience as opposed to Malzahn.

Arkansas has just become the first SEC team in history to compete in the same year in the SEC championship game in football, basketball, and baseball. Not to mention their record in track and field over the past 20 years. Say what you want, they are impressing me to be able to do all of this with the distractions they have had in the past year or so. They have not won the championships yet and will not be favored in the baseball final today, but getting to the finals in all 3 is still an accomplishment. Remember, we are just trying to get to any bowl game and/or have a winning season. That said, I wish they would agree to a home and home with us. We always seemed to have some success against them. I would rather play them than Texas Tech.

Think they managed to avoid telling him about Darren McFadden? They could have Don Coryell as coach, or as QBs coach, and I would assume the main instruction in the offense will be "take the snap, turn around, look for the guy wearing No. 5, hand the ball to him and either get out of the way or block someone."

I think you will find that McFadden will actually take the snap almost as many times as Casey [deleted] will this year. But that said, Arkansas will definitely have a better balanced attack this year than last. Keying on McFadden will open up the pass a lot.

The fact is, Mustain transferred b/c of the run-oriented offense of Arkansas - a reason for Kale NOT to sign with Ark.

That's like wanting to play in a warm climate, and then signing with Minnesota
