Logo Change

Postby PhirePhilBennett » Sun May 27, 2007 5:03 pm

I know it was announced a while back, but has everyone seen our new colors and logo change yet?

SMU looks a lot like TCU now...perhaps when we change our colors we can win more, too.

I don't see how that's the case since our initials are S-M-U and theirs are T-C-U and our colors are red and blue and their colors and purple and white.

It looks nice. Plain and simple, its 1000 times better than than the space-age swoosh lettering. Just...be happy that its gone and leave it at that.

So, if HYUNDAI took the LEXUS logo font, but spelled out "hyundai" instead of "lexus", but again, in the same font and style as LEXUS,

...you wouldn't at all think that was a copy?

well, now that you mention it, a few years ago I turned on the TV and said hey, Northwestern is playing their home games in Ft. Worth? Oh, wait a second...that's TCU.

I thought that was a copy. Northwestern was so offput that they switched away from the inclusion of black in their unis.

Too bad they don't bring back the old diamond M. I believe the "S" & "U" were diamond in shape, too.

That was truly a classic look that we had for decades.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
