Good to see the WAC well represented in the list. Objectively, SMU deserves to be in this list. Hopefully that will change soon.

Trouble is that we are, at best, in the middle of the WAC. If those of you who are clamoring for a new SWC think that the new conference would be better, please note that Rice, UTEP and SMU are still in the bottom 10. It might help with attendance and would cut travel cost but beyond that, it's the same old story without pretty good teams like BSU, FSU and Hawaii.

Yea, it sucks. Fortunately, right now we have Boise State, Fresno State, and Hawaii to buy us some time. I wish we could get the football program rolling again and be competitive like Stanford. (We are in most sports!)

Think about how nice it would be to have Arkansas come down for a game and get the "pig suey" knocked right out of them!!

To be real honest, no one from the WAC this year so far looks like a world beater. Tulsa, UTEP, Rice, SJS looked bad. Tennessee played itself out of a romp with penalties against FSU. La. Tech beaten bad at "home" by Miami. Nevada even looked bad winning against Utah Southern (1-AA). Boise hasn't played yet and Hawaii isn't on our schedule. We should be competitive in conference.

How is Baylor not on that list? They lost at home to one of the worst Conference USA teams and they are favored to lose by double digits at UNT...

Baylor was mentioned at the bottom of the list as being close to the bottom. Personally, I hate UNT and Baylor, but I would enjoy Baylor winning this weekend and then being killed the following week by our ponies!

We spent most of last year in the bottom ten as well. It wasn't until we beat UTEP and Tulsa that we moved out. We need to win and win soon to move out. A win against Baylor would help a bunch.

In order to beat baylor, we need the defense to respect our pass, opening up the run. I know we don't want to get our QB hurt, but we might want to think about some screen plays or some play action to the tight end.

It sounded like we were running screen plays the other night with the defensive line getting to Bartel so quickly. Unfortunately the recievers were going downfield (: We have lots of protection problems and a QB who is learning. The running game still appears to be solid. The D is really a mixed bag right now with no consistency and some pretty poor tackling. Lets all hope that TT is even better than some of us thought. I do believe they a very good and thought so before the game.
