Transferring DVD to ComputerI think that this was addressed a while ago...but I have DVD's of the 1984 Aloha Bowl and the 1982 Cotton Bowl I wanted to tranfer onto the old computer. Any help?
Re: Transferring DVD to Computer
Do you have a Mac? PC?
YOU will need a device that takes analog recordings (VCR Or DVD players) and transfers the recording into you computer as digital. The one I use which NEVER lets me down and needs no power supply (power comes from the computer thru the firewire) is made by Canopus as their ADVC-55. It is superior to anything I have found and works flawlessly. Its only a little larger than a pack of cigarettes and costs around $200 off the net. I've used mine for a year and NEVER had a problem with DVD or VCR tapes. GET IT!
(as an alternative you can run th DVD thru a good MiniDV camera and into the computer)
Various software is available to RIP a DVD. If you have a DVD RW drive on your computer some software probably came bundled with it.
