The SMU face-lift continueshttp://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent ... ef059.html
I will miss the pony at halfcourt, but don't have a problem with the change there. All in all, looks pretty sweet Dallas Mavericks - 2011 NBA CHAMPIONS!
Long live the Circle of Champions!
Thanks to everybody who had a hand in putting this together. This is absolutely first class. What's next?
Classic is always 'in'.
Great job!!! (And I don't know the first thing about basketball or even care about the sport but marketing is marketing & it WORKS). GREAT JOB!!! BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
I liked what Sweet said about our logo. It will be the same for all sports. Thats got to be a first at SMU.
Hopefully they will also re-paint the area behind the student section (where the advertisements are) as it has always looked more purple than blue. The court looks outstanding! How old is the court in Moody? I thought that we were going to get a new floor instead of just re-stain and paint.
Replacing the hardwood floor (completely) is rarely necessary under ordinary circumstances. You may have to address dead spots or specific areas where there is damage. I know there have been roof leaks in Moody from time to time that may have caused sections of the floor to buckle, but barring a major flood, the floor oughta be okay. I know you can "take it down to the wood" only so many times, but I think there is a little "thickness" left. Is new lighting up for the coming season?
Excellent reseach, look and decision. Class always works and I love the darker stain. New traditions!
Pony Up
would love to use that pic as desktop wallpaper but the resolution of that and the great ponyfans photos usually aren't sharp enough to use. is there a location to get a variety of smu hi res photos for such use?
