You could bring it in at the cotton bowl. Tulane plays off campus, but you can by a gin and tonic at their games.

Yes, University Park is still 'dry'. And it will always be 'dry'.

How do they plan to accomodate the full bar and coke lounge planned for the Dubya Celebration Center?

Just kidding of course.

USC stopped selling alcohol in the Coliseum last season.

But they've set PAC-10 attendance records the past few years so it's obviously all about winning.
GO MUSTANGS!

FIGHT ON!

At the Orioles game yesterday a fan in a luxury box threw a roll full of one dollar bills out over the field. Maybe SMU could try that.

But did that really help our attendance when we could buy beer outside the Cotton Bowl? As I stated earlier, not selling beer at games by UT, A$M, Notre Dame, Michigan, etc is not hurting their attendance any.

I like it, I like it!

Which schools sell alcohol at their on campus stadiums?

It is actually a surprisingly high percentage. Not 50%, but more than 25%. I seriously thought it would have been 5%. I will look for the article I read it in.

Ah...a gin and tonic. Obviously the Tulane folks have very good taste. 8)

The reason I asked is that there are lots of restaurants in UP where you can get a c0cktail without being asked for a membership card.

That's easy...they can build the bar on the Mrs. Bairds plant site. Located in Dallas city limits and plenty of room for a good size drinking hole. :D

I was not disagreeing with you there. Not being able to drink an alcoholic beverage during a game doesn't bother me in the least. Unfortunately some folks find that not being able to do so seems to be a problem for them.

No problem PK. It still is not that hard to get alchohol into Ford Stadium on gameday.....if one needs something to help them get through the game.

When I was at SMU, I was asked by the athletic department to hand out coupons for $1 tickets for the game THAT AFTERNOON between the Mustangs and OSU. There were 10 of us handing out coupons, and we handed out about 5,000 coupons. In the section where these tickets were, there were about 20 people. When we drew at the Cotton Bowl, it was because we were playing UT, A&M, Arkansas, TT.
