Scout says we've offered this 6-4, 330 lb offensive lineman from Richland Hills. He has offers from Okie State, Kansas State, Tech, Purdue, and us. He is also interested in Kansas and Florida who have yet to offer. Would be a great grab if we could get this guy.

unfortunately he said 5 days ago that he was waiting to hear from Florida last week and if he didn't hear from them he was probably going to commit to Texas Tech this weekend. And now you know the rest of the story. Good day.

Good for the sand aggies. I think we all could do without your [deleted] attitude though.

I think there are a lot of people that would rather hear the truth. I bet you purposely left that tidbit out to deceive people. That's [deleted]. If you are goimg to post about a prospect tell the truth based on the information that is availiable-good or bad-especially if the recruit is quoted saying exactly what he intends to do.

Well, apparently I suck at conspiring to pull the wool over the eyes of my fellow fans. You found me out.

This is rich. I purposely left it out? Why? Did you honestly ask yourself that? Or do you make it a point to make baseless accusations without thoroughly thinking them through? Did you think maybe, just maybe, I don't subscribe to those recruiting websites so I can't read most of their info. I can't read the in-depth articles or any other little nugget of knowledge that they may have hidden from the public. That would just seem too convenient wouldn't it? That couldn't be the case.

I must have some hidden agenda to get my fellow SMU fans hopes up so we can all think PB is the greatest coach in the history of collegiate football.

Get over yourself.

Oh for god's sake we all aren't directly plugged into the absolute source of all recruting truth. And anyone that lives and dies by what people say on a MESSAGE BOARD need to really re-examine their priorities. Who cares if he missed that? Who cares if he even purposefully left it out? Is it gonna somehow alter the world we live in? Are we all gonna lose sleep because the truth is out, he isn't gonna go to SMU? Man it's hearsay and snippits on an internet chat board not the voice of all that is right.

Post of the month, even the keeper of the star knows that.

Gallington hasn't said he will commit to Tech, just that he wants to go there for a visit and then decide. He has made it clear Fla is his 1st choice, but the rest is wide-open.

Scout June 18-"Gallington informed RaiderPower that he was going to give them (Florida) until Monday or Tuesday of this week to let him know, and if they didn't, he was going to visit Texas Tech and probably commit." Gallington stated "My coach wants me to wait until July, but I don’t want to. I'm going to sit down with my parents tonight and we'll talk about what our plan will be. I am pretty sure I will be heading to Lubbock this weekend (June 22nd) to check out what they have to offer, and as long as everything looks good, I plan on commiting during my visit"

Doesn't sound wide open to me.

Sonny Shipp who wrote that piece is highly unreliable and has misquoted players before. I think the later blurb in Rivals is a little more accurate and closer to what Deveric has been telling the coaches of various schools:

"My coach and I talked about it, and he wants me to visit before I decide anything, so if I don't get the Florida offer, then I'm going to visit Texas Tech probably next week and we'll go from there."

Either way, don't expect Gallington, who says playing in-state would be a bit of a relief for he and his mother, to be changing his mind anytime soon.

"Well, whatever happens, happens," he said. "And once it happens, it is a done deal. Period. My coach and I are big on commitment, so once I tell a school I'm committed, that's exactly what I am, committed."

Both of these come from Tech writers and should be taken with a grain of salt.
