RBs for 2004Rumor has it that Foy Munlin is absolutely tearing it up in practice, and should challenge Richuel Massey and Fitzgerald for the top RB spot next year. What a nice problem to have - three available talented RBs!
Re: RBs for 2004yeah great so one can wear down getting 35 carries and the other two can sit on the bench. Our coach is in the VAST minority of College FB head coaches when it comes to handling his runningbacks.
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: RBs for 2004Geez, I'm glad someone agrees with me.
I don't understand the one back system It's a waste of eligibility It's foolish to think that keeping one back in the entire game will help keep his rythym going. its bs.. KK is getting tired out there and KK isn't exactly our quickest back when he's at ful strength. Someone explain to me why Bennett coaches this way.
Re: RBs for 2004Stallion, UNF,
I totally agree with both of you. I was waiting for/wanting Fitgerald to enter the second half against Tech as we were having marginal success with KK. At the very least, he brings fresh legs, gets some experience, and gives KK some rest. I recall Briggs exploding for nice runs last year when brought off the bench. Just my 2 cents. Go Buster.
Re: RBs for 2004"I think we'll see a better offense on the field against Baylor. That's what we're expecting. And, we will have running backs Johnny Fitzgerald and Keith Williams ready to play." - Bennett from MM.com
Go Buster
Re: RBs for 2004The running game ain't the problem. Criticize Bennett all you want Stal but you just knocked the only thing that has been working.
