Where's the smack? Before TTU game there was all kinds of smack being laid down. Now, all I read is how weak and pathetic the Ponies are and how we just need to make fewer mistakes and hope Baylor out mistakes us.
Bull Corn! I want to beat the daylights out of Baylor. I want to win and one doesn't win by being afraid. We have played a quality opponent. We are relativity injury free and we did show improvement over last year. Baylor is weak. A poor team with a poor system and that isn't going to change overnight. I expect KK to rush for 135 yards, Bartel to thrown for 250 yards. Our defense to hold BU to less than 250 yards total offense and our special teams to return one kick for a TD. Expect and demand more from the Ponies not less.
Re: Where's the smack? We will win the ball game...put it in 3" letters.

Re: Where's the smack?I still feel like we can beat anybody ponyte. I believe we'll beat the bears. I mean, come on, a team from waco. baylor?? Though I do see we don't have any baylor schmucks coming on talking trash like the tick folk did.
Go Ponies!
Re: Where's the smack? They are very internally focused right now -no reason to keep it that way.
Re: Where's the smack?Let's see. One football team that was beaten by 48 points in their first game and another who lost to UAB and to UNT by 38. No wonder there is no smack. SMU hasn't won an early game since 2000 and has been blown out by the likes of Navy since. We have had 1 game that we played above our head and won since Bennett came (LaTech). Last year we played TT well but we certainly didn't last time. There is a reason we are ranked in the bottom 10. We should be humble even if we win.
Re: Where's the smack?Dude I'll bring it. Hhats the url for the baylor board?

The only bright spot about TT game I saw was that we did get 21 first downs and had the vast majority of clock. I agree we should be optimistic though. Paste Baylor!! Go Ponies!!
Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad
Re: Where's the smack?Your right about the clock. Think what the score would have been if we hadn't had the ball for 20 minutes.
Re: Where's the smack?I don't know enough about SMU's team to post a intelligent analysis, but I do know about the Bears. We don't have a lot of talent, that is true. However, we do have an offensive system that is built to utilize our strengths. We have a very good running back in Rashad Armstrong and an accurate passer in Aaron Karas, who does sometimes make mistakes. I can speak for all of our fans when I say that we looked horrible against UNT, and that Guy Morriss will be all over them to eliminate the turnovers and all around "stupid" play. It should be good game, but don't expect to play the same team that played in Denton last week.
Sic 'em Bears
Re: Where's the smack?i know enough about smu football to know that they are a bunch of rich prissy boys who will get romped by the bears
Re: Where's the smack?Baylor athletes don’t drink, smoke or dance. They do commit murder with a little obstruction of a police investigation by the head coach. Now had they bought the victim a hamburger, the NCAA would be all over Baylor. But murder isn't an NCAA violation.
All we did was to pay players. We didn't kill 'em!
Re: Where's the smack?Ponyte, wait. No only did they kill, but they got paid too. Double whammy.
Go Ponies!
Re: Where's the smack?Baylor calling SMU people prissy? Man if that ain't the pot and the kettle. Those Baylor guys are so dang manly - doing manly men things all the time like "Sing" or whatever they call that glorified off-broadway thing that their students actually care about. They are absolutley the limpist of wrists.
