if A&M or UT even sign a low 3 star much less a 2 star-ALL hell breaks lose. Obviously, you don't check these sites AT ALL. SMU fans are pansies and are recruiting illiterate compared to the posters on these sites. SMU Fans think Area Top 100 means quality. The difference is that UT compares their recruits with USC, OU, LSU et al and SMU seems happy to steal recruits from Rice, Tulsa and North Texas ajnd get drummed in recruiting by TCU in 17 out of 18 years. From 2004-2005 though you are right UT fans had little to [deleted] about because they got commitments from about 95% of the players they offered. This year there is some definite bitchin' about Mack taking "academic" 3 star Top 100 players. See Riley Dodge and some other kids.

I just noticed that BOTH of our recruits received 2 star, 5.2 ratings from Rivals. While these are not 6.0 ratings, they aren't 4.8 - 5.1 ratings either, which is the rating that many of our recruits have had in the past. Also Rivals has current videos up on both recruits:

Beasley definitely has some moves and has the ability to take it to the HOUSE at his level!

there is no such thing as a 4.8. Search 4.8 under the Database. 4.9 means no analyst has seen enough of the recruit to offer an opinion. You have to be death, dumb and blind not to get a 5.0 in their system-or sign very late and they've moved on to the next recruiting class. 5.2 is pretty mediocre and would almost certainly translate into a player in the Bottom 1/3 of the recruiting class pool.

Again, everyone, try to follow the humor here. It relates, not to the individuals involved, but to the circumstances. Here is a team which has had exactly one winning season in twenty years trying to turn it around and all it seems we can get to commit to us now are undersized players that hardly anyone else is even recruiting. If you can't laugh at the circumstances, feel free to cry. I for one will try to keep a sense of humor about it, and share my thoughts with my fellow fandom.

Right, because if you are death, then the other two don't really matter. But then you still could be 2-star material. Some of the players that ran through here for the last 18 years may have actually fit that profile.

If you were death, would that not make you the grim reaper. Unfortunately for him, I don't think the officials would allow a scythe onto the football field.

No, but he could hang one of those dial-a-down things off it and run with the chain gang.

Who was it, Bubba Smith that had his career ended after a collision with one of those things?
He was no two-star. No Rivals then though.

I am serious about this Counselor. I just saw an ad on television that said if you had died from a certain drug taken for diabetes to call their number. Do you think they had to hire a lot of people to answer the calls from all of those dead people. I would think maybe Haley Joel Osment could handle their business. I am in agreement with you that death is a bad thing for a recruit.

And you have to be an IDIOT (or an attorney) to care so much!
