Colt Knost

Postby 50's PONY » Sat Jul 14, 2007 3:23 pm

Just wanted everyone to see this. Colt Knost has just won the USGA National Public Links Championship by a 6-4 margin. This is big and will hopefully put Colt on the Walker Cup team this fall in Ireland against GB&I.
Way to go Colt!

It's a shame I can't play that well. I'd never get anything done!

Congratulations, Colt.

Does anyone know if this will entitle him to an invitation to the Masters?

I beg to differ LF68.... I'd put one grand on your son being named Vince.

Yes as long as he stays an amateur.

http://www.usapl.org/

In six matches, Knost registered just seven bogeys and over the final two days of the competition, a total of 66 holes, he was the equivalent of 13 under par.

He had a fabulous championship. We'll be hearing his name for awhile. He seems to have a very bright future in golf.
